Not like anyone noticed.

It always amazes me, no, disappoints me of what this country finds important, Clark is one of the few that has had such a profound effect on the human race, two words for the ones who don't recognize this "Geostationary orbit"

It shouldn't disappoint you really, he is British after all.

I didn't know about it being his birthday until I read this here. I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey in his honor last night, for the first time in probably twenty years.
Man, that's one weird movie. ;)

Your statement sounds as if you are offended. I do not keep track of celebrity birthdays, mostly because they do not celebrate my birthday and I honestly do not care when their birthday are. However, Arthur C. Clarke is one of my favorite authors and I have most of his books. Recently read book 1 and 2 of the A Time Odyssey he collaborated with another one of my favorite author, Stephan Baxter. I support both authors by always buying new copies of their books, not used copies. I'll honor his birthday by buying another new copy of one of his books.

dear mega

you got me there...childhood's end...man what an incredible book that was..

imi, i have only one evangalistic tendency which is finding a lost soul and bind him/her to a seat and force them to watch 2001...with a loaded gun in my hand. :)

if they complain about anything except that stupid waltz (man i hate waltzy strauss) i shoot them:)
