Does anyone remember, when you were younger, how you used to be sooo excited to see the numbers on a car's odometer "roll over"? Well, I thought that was a big thing, when I was just a kid. What the hey! I still do. There still must be some kid left in me, yet.

Well, anyway, I wanted to celebrate my 500th post some how, but I see that I'm already 12, nooo, 13 posts over the 500 mark. Now, I'll have to wait until 1000. What a bummer!!!

Mental note to self: Remind myself when I reach 999.

Has anyone else celebrated a posting milestone here? If so, how'd you celebrate?

tHREEL, but you can call me AL.

Every 1000 posts.

And I celebrate in much the same way you have, by gratuitously announcing it via a new thread.

Never have strangely, just carry on posting.
Mind you, I'd have to go some to catch up to HR. :D

EDIT: You know, I've only just realised I'm over 4.5K posts - hehe, ahh well, at my age, I'm allowed to be less observant honest. ;)

The 4,500 or 6,200 posts actually only works out to around 2.5 posts a day, since February '03. I've seen some forums however with certain users who have 20,000+ posts...that's mind boggling.

Just once... a few weeks ago. 5,555 posts and that was worth a new thread to me.

Cheers,
Mike

HAH! No one told me you were supposed to let that go when you got older. I took a picture of my odometer turning 100k with the phone last week.

Funny thing, I was passing the dealership when it was at 99,999. I had to fight the overwhelming urge to pull in and tell them I was in for a ton of warranty work before it hit 100,000. :)

Is everything still working okay @ 100,001? :goodluck:

I like to capture my Tacho in DRIVE :D. It's little blurry 'coz my Cellular phone camera was set on low res but it's visible enough ;).

Sometime today on the drive home, my '84 Mercedes diesel is going to roll over 90,000 - maybe I'll grab a smartphone video clip of it or something.

How immature some portions of our minds are. :D

Coming up on 2,000. Just think how high I could be if I didn't take 2 years off from visiting here.

We're all computer and graphics people. Shouldn't we be celebrating at 256, 512, 1024, 2048... ?
:)

I'll just call you Mr. Cool from now on then.

:screwy:

Very well then. Following this out logically, do I therefore call you Mr. Uncool?

I'll let you know after I can see myself in the mirror. The tape on my glasses came off again. :D

Oh, shoot, I hate when that happens. The only thing worse is when your headset (read: desktop mic duct taped to free Northwest Airlines headphones) falls apart.
