Adobe has posted details about the new version of AE on www.adobe.com.

Some nice new toys in there - hope LW 8 plays nicely with it...

Nothing on the Adobe AE6 feature list indicates that there is any way to import scenes or motion data from Lightwave.

Despite Newtek's recent Digital-Fusion-for-Windows discount offer, After Effects still remains the most widely used compositing application among Lightwave users.

The fact that this basic functionality is not there "out of the box" is very frustrating. Both Maya and C4D users can already import motion data into After Effects.

it looks like AFX will finally take layered psd sequences.

Layered Photoshop sequences would be a big help. Considering PSD is Adobe's own format, it's ironic that they seem to be the last ones to support it.

Hopefully Lightwave's layered PSD output plugin will one day be moved from the Image Process section to the Render Menu section, where it would be more useful.

I thought that After Effects 5.5 had the ability to import lightwave and 3ds max camera data?
