hi,i tryed all the reconstruction filters, AA modes, etc... but i keep having such crappy renders...it's not the resolution of my texture as in the crappy render only appears with the distance from the camera.
the render part i post is from a 2560/1440 render on an uncompressed TGA. that i zoomed in to see the result better (it's for a movie to be projected on a very large screen in theaters)

anyone know how i can have a better render?

Turn up antialiasing? or switch on adaptive sampling?
What camera settings are you using for that image? If you could tell us, that would help in solving the problem.

I only get good renders (shapr) with the Classic Filters...

Could it be the mipmapping setting on your textures? (as you mentioned it only happens from a certain distance to the camera)
Try playing with the mipmap settings in the Image Editor (set it Anti Aliasing for example to check quickly if this is the case)

i'll check all that and tell you.
ps: i'm using perspective camera

well, adaptive sampling seems to do the job, but i loose details:s
and changing the mipmapping mode doesn't change anything.

YES. And they render faster to boot. Don't waste your time with the others.

Exactly what settings are you using for AA? And what about motion blur?

Oh - and PLD is garbage! Don't use it!
