Hi Everybody,
I just wondered if there is anybody out there who located a 16 bit tiff plug-in for Mac Users (for LW 9 or 9.3). I am trying to import a ZBrush Displacement map, but apparently it won't work unless you import it as a 16-bit tiff file, which needs a plugin.

Has anyone had any experience with zBrush and Lightwave?

Like to hear of any useful tutorials, links or useful comments.

Thanks.

The v9.3 and v9.3.1 TIFF loader and saver should handle 16-bit and 32-bit TIFF files, including grayscale files.

Hi!

I'm actually working under window xp pro, 32 bit, and cannot load 16 bit TIFF files, here's what I got when I try to:

16 bit TIFF RVB are impossible to open, and gray scale are unusable.
This displacement comes from ZBrush, so I make some in photoshop but I got the same problem, even with the Lynx plug in, and with all the 9.x version.

Should I do something instead of convert all my displacements to 8 bits???

Hi Mucus,

If you save that as a TIFF file, does it work? That file appears to be a .PSD file.

Oh my god, I was so disappointed by this bug that I don't look at that (Just render displacement with Zbrush as TIFF but I got PSD), I'm sorry and with the TIFF it work fine!
