For example, [9]'s pntMove is very very slow in comparison with [8].
It is useless when there are a large quantity of points....

I don't know officially, but judging by the fact they changed how points and polygons were handled in Lightwave in 9.2 I would say yes it did.

Thank you for posting.

When I use lw9.3, I see that the plug-in tools, such as MovePlus, Rove and Spikey, are too slow.
The built-in tools, such as Move, Rotate and Stretch, seem to be normal.
Ummm.....

My computer is a PowerMac G4 1.25G-Dual.
The testing model has 20,000 points.

The tools in Modeler are still undergoing overhalls to speed them up. Some tools have been changed, but not all of them. The focus of the past couple releases was on Layout.

If you really want to make your computer angry, put a high poly count object in a background layer then try to move the screen around.... YIKES!!

I might have to escape into old version for some time...

Drawing line was always very slow on any gfx card... If bg layer would be just geometry (even little colored for difference), no lines, it would refresh in eye blink or less.. ;)
