View Full Version : views glitch/skew

hi all, i have an extremely annoying problem, which is massive hampering my productivity, i have a large amount of work to get done for uni and can't do it because of this.

I have attached an image of what happens but basically when i try to select polys 2 of the views skew and glitch. I modelled happily for a while before and then boom, this starts.

Also it will not allow mew to assign surfaces to anything anymore (if i pull up the change surface dialogue with "q", all the options are greyed out_ what's going on?

and yes, I'm modelling a toaster. heh.

ok i appear to have fixed the glitching issue by disabling the hub.

does anyone know why i can't change surfaces?

That's a video problem. I wonder if closing the hub freed up some memory for the video card.

You wouldn't happen to be working on a machine with an integrated graphics card, huh? If so I would say that is probably the source of this problem.

nope it's a overclocked (stable) HIS x1950pro PCI-E, and it's watercooled so it's not overheating.

i read the hub in 9.0 was unstable (cant use 9.3 because my uni only has 9.0)

With what version of the Catalyst drivers? That info's more important than the exact card.

Like Ben said, check your Catalyst drivers and try updating to the latest from http://ati.com/ if you can-- it looks like it doesn't want to draw the OpenGL correctly. Disabling the hub shouldn't have anything to do with this really.

And you can update to 9.3.1 if you want to, it is free afterall: http://reg.newtek.com/
