Actually, a) I couldn't care less and b) there was no 3D software used

But I just love it. :)

Autos with chrome trim, pooches with a nice blow dry, giant bubble and foam machines, maybe in some distant corner of the universe in a galaxy far far away this does not pass for corniness or smack of an ad agency desperately clutching at straws to make the eternally boring seem interesting. I suppose they could have tried using facts, like you only get all those pixels while the image stands still, the screen count will drop to well under half that once things start moving about, or the real resolution is entirely in the hands of whichever codec was used to encode the DVD your watching, but still that's show business for you

It's just ... stupid. Gloriously stupid. :)

There's a good Sony one on TV here at the moment wth huge plasticine animals stop motion animated coming out of the street.

Can't be bothered finding it though.

And nothing will ever beat the Nutri Grain ad anyway:

It might have once been since Passion Pictures were responsible for the Sony bunnies ad...

I just like the song...

Sad that they hacked up a mustang, though.

Gerry_G I am not sure what you are referring to, resolution drops to under half?

I don't read German, so I am not entirely sure what the ad is claiming.

I can say that a high definition DVD (either version) looks better than an upconverted DVD...a LOT better.
