Oh! Men! You need a very clever webmaster (or an automatic process not so bugfree) to do this kind of stuff.
Many thanks NT

Well the dl is still a zip file, so NT obviously haven't fixed it yet. Seriously, how long does it take to rename a file on an ftp, and change a link? God help people who don't read the forums. The initial response is always going to be to try & dl it again, assuming a corrupt file (as posts to the forums have shown).

Anyhoo.... this 22/11/07 version has the same build number as the one mentioned in the Beta forum...ie 1291 and no, I didn't dl the beta version.

What build number have you guys got? and is this *really* the final or not?

Once upon a time I used to get emails telling me that new versions were out, now it seems that I have to check the registration/downloads pages to find out.

Hi,

The download is supposed to be a .zip. The problem last week was that the file was an .exe that simply had its extension renamed .zip, instead of being properly compressed into a .zip. Supposedly this was corrected the other day and the file really is a .zip file now.

Hope this helps.

wow this is really the less talked about update in LW history !!!

why should one install it ? there is no list of fixes to be found !
nothing on the forums except the inept error from the web team at newtek...

Hi,

Actually it's been mentioned a few times already that there are at least 100 bug fixes in 9.3.1...reason enough to install for me. :)

FWIW, there is a list of fixes that comes with the download, and yeah it's a pretty long list.

Can someone point me to a list of the improvments?

Mostly interested in knowing how well fprime works but keen to know the full details in all areas.

vmc - there's a roster of improvements in the readme that comes in the download. It's a fairly large list.

But is its not available to read prior to download?

Has anyone tried ZIP'ing the LW9.3.1 (for Windows) download to see if it can be made much smaller? The Mac versions are about a tenth of the size! I'm sadly on dial-up, and a 30-something MB download is obviously more feasible than a 200-something MB file! Also - any ideas why it's such a huge download?

If it can be done, perhaps someone wouldn't mind uploading the smaller file somewhere for me! Ta!

I bought 8.5 and got 9.0 free. The dl is in my downloads but says something about demo. Does that mean I don't get to upgrade it?:lwicon:

It can be used as a demo, but it is the full version. Install it then use the license key found in the My Products page of your Registration web page (if you've registered it).
