On a pc there is a way to load your scene and the lwsn.exe file and then go into DOS and just type in a command that points the lwsn.exe to the scene and it just starts rendering.

Is this possible on a mac, if so how would I go about doing it?

Sure. The new ScreamerNet UB uses the Mac OS X command line terminal to specify a standalone rendering.

Here's an example (http://dreamlight.com/insights/10/standalone_rendering.html#renderingUB) that should point you in the proper direction, and also a drag-drop AppleScript droplet that lets you do it even easier.

:D
