View Full Version : LWPntID - can they be reused?

Can you use a LWPntID array over and over again after generating polygons or do I need to create a new LWPntID array for each set of points I make.

Granted I probably could make the array sufficiently large enough to hold all the points of an object. But I am curious if this is possible.

Not that I am to lazy to code and see for myself, I just rather not waste the time checking it out only to have ot erase and rethink.

I asked this question because last time I went to free the data before I ended the construction the program didn't like it.

You can safely use LWPntID/LWEdgeID/LWPolID between initial scan call-back up to the moment when done() is called..

use or reuse the same array. Such as LWPnt *id;

id[1] blah blah;
Makepoly command blah blah
somewhere later, before done();
id[1] blah blah;
make another poly command


and doing so it won't mess up my point structure for the object?
