I am a Lightwave user.
Nowadays many 3d software has a sculpting module, such as zbrush,
modo, silo. I think this is a very Interesting and good module for model.
Could Lightwave has a sculpting module in the future?

I hope they invest their time on other things before they even think of this.

Besides you can buy Silo v2 for $150... think of it like a plugin for LW...

the morph brush thing is... unimpressive.

i wouldn't hold your breath.

zbrush or silo is definitely worth it. also, blender is free. there is a TON of other stuff lw needs - FUNDAMENTAL STUFF - before it gets to "gravy".

Didn't say it was good :)
Just that it's there and could be a base tool for something better to come. Maby

meh...

also, more than the ability to sculpt, lw needs to massively increase the ability to push around LARGE MESHES before it even becomes remotely DESIRABLE EVEN!

imagine if we had the most awesome sculpting tools and deformations and etc etc and we can't reasonably work on meshes more larger than 100k polys... total waste.

heck, maya has a FAR MORE advanced "base" for sculpting... it even has sculpting capability...

totally sucks. can't hold a candle to zb3.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

the issue these days is not CAN YOU SCULPT... the issue is CAN YOU SCULPT AWESOME....

if you can't SA, don't even show up.

anyhoo, more important stuff to deal with first.
