If so, do you like it and which one?
Thanks.

I'm using a Dell WFP3007WPF and I think it's the best money I've spent in a long, long, long time. It's really made everything I do so much easier.

I used one for a while, an apple 30", and they used to joke around the office when I was leaning forward to see some small detail I was going to fall into the screen... but stepping back from that made me realize how brilliant such a large screen is. You become much more active too, like more of your environment becomes interactive. Peripheral vision becomes a tool!

I love my 23" wide apple with 21" older apple side by side. I bet i'd love a 30" like my boss has, but really i'm quite content.

I have a 30" from apple and it is really one of the best things i have buy ... all LW windows i need in one screen with a large working area ... it is a dream ... now at home with a 20" one it is like i was looking into a hole :)

I do... Hp LP3065 and I can only repeat, best buy since a long time!
Was on 2 22" CRT and I hated the division in the middle. Now I even gained
in pixel space.

I got my 30" dell on ebay for $1150 new and it way money well spent. FINALLY there is room for everything. Got reference you want to model? you can keep that and your modeler on the screen a the same time.

I've also got an apple 23" on the side, and it's great having your tools or secondary apps. out of your direct view when you don't want them.

30" displays are totally awesome.

For the record, the Dell is actually the same display matrix as the Apple cinema display, but about 80% the price in the UK - your mileage may vary depending on your country of origin.

24" wide Eizo here. 95% of the time it's perfect for me, but that 5% nags me when the screen gets too crowded. Unfortunately Eizo doesn't make 30" displays :( (and yes, these things are just as good as people tell you, beats the living c**p out of Apple displays in quality, which is something on it's own since Apple displays ain't bad either)

Don't feel too bad Silk. I am running the Samsung 226bw. 22" screen with 3000:1 contrast ratio.... Of course I am running two of them.

I decided to stay with the two 22" monitors because they were cheaper than one of the bigger ones...and I have way more screen real estate overall.

Ya, at the moment I don't really have the space for a second monitor. As my scanner sits next to the monitor. But I have been thinking about a hdtv screen for the second monitor. As I see there is now a dvi to hdmi cable.

depends exactly what kind of work you do, but if you or your work has a background in traditional art, you may want to consider putting the money towards a Cintiq... only USD700 more than Apples 30" (yeah, saying "only 700" sounds a little silly, but if you've already saved up 1800...)

just a thought...

I have a Dell 30'' and I was not going back to anything smaller after 1 hour of use. Its awesome. I also got one with 0 pixel or subpixel errors.

Cheers, Florian
