Hi all

I have a question.
When I render a single frame and it has 80% done, some times my clients change things, I always cancel the render, I made these changes, and start again the render.
Some times, these changes are in the bottom of the image (in the 20% remainder).

Itís possible save a frame with 80% done?

Thanks

No,
You have to use FPrime for this.

screengrab it... and make limited region renders to get the bottom 20%

Bill them again for wasting your time.

I always found it curious that in a scanline renderer you cant choose the starting and ending points.

In the early 3DS max days, I would literally tilt my camera forward (like a person looking over their sunglasses) to render the bottom part first...

Limited region could be a good workaround if you can't afford Fprime, this is also how Fprime users network render one frame over several computers ...

Shucks, just roll the camera 180 degrees and flip the image afterwards. ;) That's the quickest way. No need to tilt. If you roll the camera 180 degrees, it will still be rendering the exact same image no problem, just that it'll be doing it upside down, which isn't a big deal. After done rendering you just rotate the image 180 degrees.

I'd hope so. Hehehehe. I don't use FPrime myself. I stick with vanilla LW.
