I was wondering if in VT we can create the following effect:

Take one full color frame of a person and now I want to keep color in the shirt only and make rest of the frame black and white. I have seen this effect being done in Final cut pro. Is it possible to do in VT?

Thanks

Is it just 1 frame or a sequence? You can do it in Aura either way.

1.Easiest way is to put it in and duplicate the layer so you have one on top of the other.

2. On the top layer use the keyer to remove the color that you want to keep. I know that sounds backwards, but it is what you want to do.

3. Now we convert the top image that we just keyed to black and white. Filters-color-luma range is one way to do this. Applying twice usually looks nice.

4. The color you keyed out will now show through from the bottom layer and the rest of the picture will be black and white.

It's full sequence and I will try these steps. Thank you very much.

Or - just use Aura's Filters>Color>Color Eraser filter on a single layer. 'Swat it's for :)

That's too easy .

Actually, I thought there was a one-clicker for that, but not having it right in front of my face it's very easy to forget.
