View Full Version : Driving displacement texture trouble..help

Hello all. I must be missing something. Trying to get a displacement to travel around a belt. I have a flat strip that I have added a morph to. This creates the curve. I tied the displacement to a null. Some how I thought that the displacement would follow belt. But instead i get the following (See below). Works great til it gets to the curve. The displacement won't travel around the curve. This works fine on bump. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Thanks in advance,

Where/how are you adding the displacement map?

Just for fun instead of using the displacement map button add the textured displacement plugin from the list and try it from there.

Hmm, am wondering if the old morf-thru-a-path-of-bones trick would work for this.

I saw someone else do a tank tread with some complicated expressions (a single link object cloned and moved along a path) but have never attempted myself.
