Anyone using Rhino 3.0 and LightWave7.5? I used Rhino1.0 and LW6 and recall importing objects from Rhino was a little screwy. Any improvements?

Can i export from LW into Rhino?

I use LW 7.5c and Rhino 3.0 Service Release 1. They work very well together.

Rhino can export the imported LW files as .STL files, a feature that is still sadly missing in lightwave.

Unless I have read the info incorrectly that plugin only imports .stl files into LW. It does not export them.

Exporting .stl files from LW would greatly improve my work flow.

I forgot to answer your question re. exporting to rhino.

Yes you can but you need to export the file as lightwave 5 or *.obj file as Rhino does not read 7.5 files.

:o oops, I stand corrected, though he did mention it was in planning at some time, and asked if anyone one would be interested...

Thanks for the help and links. I have Rhino 1.0 and the upgrade is cheap enough and i really miss it anyway.
