Mac - Universal Binary, suitable for both PPC and Intel processor systems

If you use a PC, you don't want it. If you have a Mac, you might. Research whether or not you can use the Universal Binary Version because, as I understand it, it works more efficiently with (some) macs. To expand on tribbles comment.

I have a first generation G5, (about 4 years old) and I can testify that the UB has much better performance than the PPC version, even on my machine.

If you're running on a a non-intel mac you might want to keep the non-ub versions around so you can run your old plug-ins (such as sas-light or fprime, etc) as they are not UB yet...

The same applies for Intel Macs. There's no reason not to keep both versions around as long as you need to.
