I dont get it. If I owned that company and recieved
lots of money for preselling an update i would be giving
everyone monthly updates.
I cant believe this.

Over a year and no VT5.

Are they going out of business? Unless I have missed something I have not heard anything out of them for
many months about what is happening to our VT5.

Maybe its no longer a priority. If they wait long enough
our VT cards will be obsolete anyway.

Sure does leave A LOT of wriggle room for such wild fascinations, huh, Ed?

uh. Did you miss this post from the head of software development?

No I did not see that. In fact I dont even visit the forums more than once a week now....
I am here in General Support.... and the call for beta testers was in VT community which I am not even
familiar with.

Also this was not as much a report as it seemed to be
a call for beta testers. No much info there.
Why ANdrew is asking for sample bug reports on 4.6 is
confussing at best. In order to be a beta tester I have to
find a bug in 4.6?

But thanks for pointing it out. Maybe there is hope that someday it will be released.

They want beta testers that know how to file a report that they can repeat and follow, so they are seeing who can file a good report on VT4.6 as sort of a test.

Yes I understand that but the way it is written I need to
find a bug in order to be able to file a report.
Maybe there are still known bugs in 4.6 that they
are looking to see who can find them or knows about them? Then they can demonstrate there reporting ability.

Odd. Most of us who have been around since 1992 have a lot of practice at reporting VT bugs.

Since beta is just now under way it sounds like it will be
several months more of waiting. THis is good info.

You can have your own opinion of course but that statement is no where near the real situation.

I think that's his point: no Real Situation report has been filed.

For example, the lw side of NewTek offers updates and other communication bunnies to let the users know what's going on. They even send it to their mailboxes.
As is evidenced by your own post, info on the VT side is provided in a singular thread in a singular part of the forum. Nothing was sent to the masses; only those who read this forum or are directed here from elsewhere will have privy to this message.

His whole post was an "You can have your own opinion..." post... One with some meat, too...
