Load this into Layout 9.3: Statue.lwo (http://www.Carm3D.net/Statue.lwo)

Then set Display Sub-Patch level to 0. Crash?

Setting it to 1 doesn't crash.. But 0 does. For me.

No problem here either - win XP Pro, SP2, 32 bit.
Didn't crash at 0, 1, 2, 3 and so on. I took it up to 25 without crashing before I got bored with it. :D

Cool model, too, btw. :)
Was that the base you made for the statue WIP in the WIP gallery that you're doing over in ZBrush?

Yep. Thanks.. So I wonder why this is causing my LW to crash!!! :(

I updated my video drivers but it's still crashing.

Have you tried reopening it in just Modeler, re-saving and reloading into Layout?
Obviously it worked for a while, could be something went haywire.

Works fine here too, also win32.
Reminds me of a problem I have with loading a particular object into Modeler. If I load it with CC level set to 2, it will crash every time. If I set it to 1 or 3, no problems. Weird and quirky behaviour.

I canít open it up in ether layout or modeler, version 9. But it opens up ok in version 8.5 modeler and layout.

for those who have had problems, I loaded the object into Modeler 9.3 then I copied and pasted into a new object, just wondering if that fixes the problem?.

Loads fine on 9.3 here.
Renders fine (and fast).

Here's a render for proof.

I discovered what the problem was... For some reason, a single point was created at 0,0,0. When I deleted this point it works fine.

It was also causing layout to crash if I had this object in the scene and sub-D's were active.
