Hi

this a very nice video I would like to show you, it's a fully rigged toon car in C4D.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulx2k9ovq8U

I would like to see some examples like that in LW and share some tips/tricks

regards
ali

One problem with doing this in LW is that Cinema calculates the dynamics in realtime but in LW you have to calculate them afterwards, so you wouldn't get realtime feedback as in cinema.

yeah that's right :|

It would be nice if we got something like Ghost Dynamics (simple line preview without/before calculation) in lightwave!

nice rig...reminds me of the toon car rig for lightwave run off of 1 null with working brakes etc...it's in the lw folder have a look.

most of this cinema rig appears to be deformers [lattice, bend etc] rigged to sliders

I'm think there are some expressions also...

but I'm wondering about those wheels and springs!

Here's a video of a quick and dirty test setup for a realtime deforming wheel. :)

nice :D
any fast info about the setup?

Here's the scene, this can be achieved in other ways, like displacement if you want more control over the shape.

I feel stupid now !! ehehe

I was using Effector before you post that but used plane and didnt' tried point! heh

thanks Ztreem :)

You're welcome, To take it even further I would use a displacement map driving the bulge on the wheel.
