I got this in my email:

-+-

For our next meeting we'll have Dave Jerrard do a presentation on the show
Dogfights. Dave will show some footage from the show (scenes that have
already aired) and cover techniques such as simple setup, noisy channel,
texture channel, motion blur, particle and fire effects...

Meeting will start at 2pm as always. I'll send another reminder next week
and notify the forums then, so pencil in Aug 25th, [Sunday]

check out Dave Jerrard's handy work by watching Dogfights which airs on the
History Channel Friday nights. Check our local listings...or this website:

I love the show, especially this season's upgraded 3D animation!

I often put the show on if working at home on my own stuff in LightWave.

Too bad I'm on the "other" coast... ;)

Just a quick question: Where is the animation for Dogfights produced (what shop)?

Darn!

Was kinda sad I missed the previous LALWUG by a couple of days last month (I flew in just a little too late) and being on the other side of the planet, I missed what sounds like a great presentation and LALWUG meet this month. One day I'll pick a holiday date that coincides with your meetings so I can pop in for a look...

Though I figure that you guys need a holiday, in fact, I hear New Zealand is great this time of year... Just don't forget to pack your show-and-tell... lol! :hey:
