Trying to accomplish the surface shown in the screen grab here (http://www.shaders.co.uk/ifw2_nodal/sshots/slides/brickmixer.htm) - anybody have any ideas?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the deeper Nodal abilities and methods...

It sure is, did this test with LWs nodes.

Thanks, Larry - actually that thread came up in my search results. Sorry, I should have been more specific in my original post (needed coffee, I did...). What I'm looking for is the variation of brick colors via a procedural. I've just downloaded Acme brick maker and going to give that a go, but I'm trying to figure out nodes and it just doesn't make sense that there's not some way to have various brick colors in a pseudo-random pattern throughout a brick wall.

Does that make more sense?

...What I'm looking for is the variation of brick colors...

With Blocks (RmanNodeCollect) you have value variation,
you need to adjust U & V Vary parameters,
then for color you can use the Color Tool node like this:
49252

But for other variations like mortar size,
IFW Region nodes seems to be cool...

Denis.
