Welll, this is all a hoot! I just built a new system with a x1950 pro, installed the latest catalyst drivers, and I get absolutely NO GLSL shaders when activated in Layout! 9.2, everything else is humming along fine. Driver version for OpenGL is 6.14.10.6645.

GLSL was working fine with my old Nvidia 6800.

I've run the OpenGL extentions viewer from Realtech VR, and all OpenGL version 2.0 extentions are implemented in this driver set.

Anybody have any suggestions? I've tried the different geometry accelerations with no success.

Any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated!

Wow, that was strange, but I was able to resolve the problem.

I did a complete re-install, including flushing all my cfg files and re-building them. Yuck. Same problem!

So, in the OpenGL options panel, I checked off the Multitexturing box, and changed the shading method to GLSL, and low and behold, they have appeared!

I checked the multitexturing box back on, and everything seems stable.

So strange! I have to say, even without running a firegl card, this is heads and tales performance above the old 6800 with 12 pipes.

Take note, all, if this ever happens to you!
