I've modeling for a long time and I still dont know how to align points along an angled plane. For example say I have a plane with 4 points along a 45 degree axis but the points are not aligned just perfect so its kinda jagged. How do I align them along that axis so they form a perfect strait line at 45 degrees?

I have no probs if their just along the x,y or z axis i just use the stretch tool but when their at angles i have no idea?

You need to grab this plugin:

Taut
http://www.flay.com/plugs/downloads/f_Taut.zip

To use it:

1) Select first point (to define start of alignment)

2) Select last point (to define end of alignment)

(The imaginary line between these points is where alignment takes place, dependent on which axis you choose)

3) Select other points you want to align

4) Run Taut and select the axis you want to align to

It can be a bit confusing at first, the options you are given are:

XY Plane
YZ Plane
XZ Plane
XYZ Plane

It would be simpler if it said:

Front (XY)
Top (YZ)
Side (XZ)
All (XYZ)

Basically if you look at Modelers Quad view, it's the axis you are 'looking down' that gets 'straightened', except the XYZ option, which is clearly all axis.

Hope that helps!
