Hi, i'm very new to this. i have lightwave 3d 7, and when i try to render one frame in lightwave things don't stay where i put them.
like, lets say i want to move this camera (fig.1)
So i move it (fig.2)
but when i click 'render scene' the camera (or whatever object) returns to the center (fig.1). What's going on? I know i'm being dumb but it's frustrating now.

you need to set your keyframe. press enter to set your keyframe.

how? when i resize an object and hit 'render current frame', lightwave resizes it to it's original size and then renders that.

you also have to key your object. you can either press enter to set your keyframe or you can use the auto key function.

next dumb question...
how come i can see the vertices in the render? this just started happening.

not sure about that one. open up the object properties and see if there is anything checked. if so uncheck it and re-render. to check your object properties just select your object and press p

You could also use some anti-aliasing. Could smooth things out if it's a specularity issue. Check the manual (I would assume it's in the rendering section) - I haven't used 7 in quite some time.

i figured it out. it was just bad modeling on my part thats all. thanks
