I've been an active member of this forum for a number of years now and have developed relationships with many of you. Therefore, I want to let you know that my last day at NewTek will be Friday. My time and experience here at NewTek has resulted in new opportunities for me to pursue. It wasn't an easy decision as I have been in the 3D industry for almost eleven years and with NewTek over four. Working at NewTek and with its amazing community of customers has definitely been a great experience that I will never forget. I want to take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to so many of you that have shown me so much support in this position and in this industry over the years. I wish you all the best of luck.

Jay, Chuck, Marvin and the rest of the LightWave crew continue to monitor the forums, you'll see posts from them. And, of course, if you need any other assistance from NewTek, you can always use the following contact information:

Wishing you one of those really shiny futures with lots of really cool specular highlights on it. Have a blast wherever your toes wiggle, Kurtis, and don't forget to freeze your Newtek tears in a baggy.

08-01-2007, 06:16 PM
Thank you all for your comments.

For those of you who asked...

No, you won't be seeing me at SIGGRAPH this year, but I have to admit I'm looking forward to being just an observer the next time I am able to attend one. You'd be amazed at how little you get to see when you're "working" a show. :hey:

I've spent a big part of my career working in the instructional design field. I've even taught at two different community colleges. I'm taking an opportunity to return to that area, which I've always enjoyed.

Once again, thank you all for your comments.

Kuzey, nope, William's safe from me. I'll be helping to develop training materials for a large company that has nothing to do with 3D or graphics.

iconoclasty, I'll probably stop by from time to time, but it won't be in an official capacity, and it may be with a different account to avoid confusion for customers.
