If you're in any way a Firefly fan, you can spend a far worse four minutes than this.

I still haven't gotten around to seeing Firefly, but it seems REALLY cool. :(

Come on lad, it's under 20 in HMV as a rule - hours of top-notch viewing. It's seriously vying for the Top Slot of Best Telly Sci-Fi - if it hadn't been canned after but one season, then all the vying would be for the number two slot, because number would wouldn't be vyable any more.

(Sorry, couldn't resist the pun)

Wistful sigh... nice edit...Don't know which was more delicious, all those lovely LW effects or Captain Mal himself. As for the music, I still prefer the gritty quality of Joss Whedon's  voice on the Ballad of Serenity.

I finally got around to getting Firefly through Netflix and have gotten through the 4 disks that were available. I should have the movie Serenity coming in the next week or two. I'm not the biggest Sci-fi fan but it was a really good show. Too bad they never continued the show (although one might argue it saved it from becoming tired and trite). Of course, one of the reasons it worked well for me is that the Sci-Fi elements were a pretty small portion of the show and it focused more the great range of characters and the stories.

Good sci-fi is firstly good fiction - and good fiction is always about people.

IMAO, Firefly satisfied that requirement admirably.

Andy, a colleague of mine, said he'd lend me the DVDs, but he keeps forgetting to bring them...

"How come we always find ourselves in an Alliance bar come U-Day?" ;)

Great, just great. Managed to put the whole FireFly thing behind me and you have to go and scrape it up again.

I'm gonna dig me out some Serenity and kick back tonight...

Lovely song - still ironing the goosebumps flat.

That was sweet. They should have her sing something in the next movie...............if there is a next movie..... :(

Loved the show and movie, have both on DVD. I don't know about this singer though, it kind of sounded forced, like she was trying too hard.

awesome, thanks Mark.

all we need now is the full length version of the original series opening song guy version version. :)

08-07-2007, 09:20 AM
I think they should include that in the bonus section of the Season 2 DVDs.

Why you make me cry Bog?

With this...sooo much love for the show...i think the next LW Community project reel should do a Firefly/Serenity short or remake or reinvisioning displaying all the features of LW 9.X or 10. :D
