SpeedEDIT needs a lot more filters. It would be great to have filters such as Film, Old Movie, Sepia, B & W, Strobe, etc. Having many filters that can be easily dropped on the timeline and adjusted easily would make SpeedEDIT the must have editing program.

Thank You

Check out the Tool Shed (F9) look under presets - Default Splines.

For the color, those spline sets do quite a bit. That won't get you a strobe effect though, and a strobe filter would be nice. I've made do by stacking Hold still filters. Place one. Set its duration for your hold strobe duration. Then Copy and paste it, snugging the two together. Highlight both, copy and paste them, and repeat the process a few times. Pretty soon you've got a long row of hold still filters that perform a strobe function.

Anyone tried Bob's StrobeFX?

Bob has a full suite of filters available.

I'd rather see Newtek working on core features and third-party developers working on content.

Hey Dwayne,

Sepia,

There should be a whole folder of color correction that can be applied to clips by placing them on the timeline below the clips and adjusting alpha.

B&W

Go to your control tree and set Saturation to 0 for black and white. Then save this setting in the Toolshed to easily apply to other clips with one click.
IMO, this is easier than dealing with timeline filters because if you move the clip, you don't have to move the filter.

And welcome..and like others said, check out Bob's filters....

No need to save, it's already there, under spline presets along with a dozen or so other similar control tree based color effects (sepia, over-exposed desert look, etc.)
