make sure the files have a lwo extension and also make sure to use "load object" not "load scene".

if that doesnt work, open your models in modeler and clickthe down arrow right menu next to the layers and right underneath the X that closes modeler. choose send object to layout and it should be shown in layout assuming your hub is active.

Thank you,

I had to reset my comp. it was acting up I think that was causing layout to close. Thanks for your advise too!

Hey Brandon,
You can find some really good LW training resources from Kurv Studios ( www.kurvstudios.com ), and Dan Alban's materials( www.3Dgarage.com ), among others, but for right now, to help get you up an going as fast as possible, for as inexpensive as possible, I would look into this:
http://www.vtc.com/products/LightWave-3D-9-tutorials.htm
http://www.vtc.com/products/Lightwave-3D-Fundamentals-tutorials.htm
http://www.vtc.com/products/Lightwave-3D-Advanced-Modeling-tutorials.htm

You have access to hundreds of other titles, such as 3ds Max:
http://www.vtc.com/products/Discreet-3DS-Max-7-tutorials.htm
http://www.vtc.com/products/Autodesk-3ds-max-8-tutorials.htm

I have a subscription there myself, to keep current and learn other programs at the same time
