By the looks of it, it even uses an optional Agea PhysX card for faster simulation. Please bring it here! please show it SIGGRAPH!

I think you're right, still, if it has some demo scenes, at least we can see if it's worth looking at. Awaiting your observations. :)

Hm, 120 without the AGEIA PhysX card. Have to give that a miss for now, but I'm going to have a look at the demo :)

I've been playing with this a bit, but hard to say anything conclusive yet - seems nice though. Documentation in english would help a lot. :)

Lets start with an official site in english! ;)

Looks really cool, esp the fact that it was created with the PhysX in mind!

Why use Ageia? Why not use a G80 GPU? I bet there's more installed G80 GPUs out there than Ageia cards, frankly I don't know a single person with an Ageia card, whereas I know several with G80 based cards.
It works just fine without the Ageia card. Like you said, it is probably because Ageia already offers fluids through their SDK and it's therefore pretty straightforward to implement. I guess the ability to use the actual card should just be considered as a bonus.

What is a G80 GPU ? Any acelleration system for 3d computation? How do I know more about it?

@ Cageman: Just click the English button at the top right of the site...

*EDIT* just realized how old this original thread is, so...

w.r.t. using Aegia, it's probably a case of the chap((e)s(ses)) at DStorm having one available, rather than sitting down and thinking "Right! What niche piece of hardware am I going to develop for today, then?"

silviotoledo.

The G80 is the graphic processing unit used in the "new" Nvidia 8800 series graphic cards.

that whole thing looks more like good cloth dynamic system than real fluid solution...
