Was Windows XP installed on an empty drive, or did you upgrade?

NewTek recommends a fresh install of XP.

i was HDD format and Windows XP installed on an empty drive, twice.

Possibly, relate to HDD partition? my HDD is 1 drive in 3 partition and first partition format and Windows XP installed.
(Windows XP is SP1 and Media Player 9, Direct X 9 installed.)

And i have a new information about T[2] launching error at Win XP. T[2] modules are launch well of individually in Win XP start manu. (ex: Switcher, Toaster vision, Audio Mixer, DDR)
but Video Toaster [2] (T2.exe) is harden during launching

Thanks to your answer Paul.

Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware.

I have searched thru the 5 CD's that came with the VT2 i puchased an have not found any drivers.

I also i'm having problems with T2 at
XP pro desktop startup, receiving message that Real Time mod shutting down. Repeatedly

Clean install an HD C: drive is a O/S ,Main
App drive. All storage/misc PRG's are installed on another drive. (both are IDE ATA 133)
