As the topic says, I wonder if the new dielectric material is useful for creating photorealistic facades. If so, what settings do you use? Thanks in advance.

Well, yeah, if you want a glass facade, it works great. It's a mite slow, though.

depends on your render recursion level, really

drop it to as low as you can (the level I mean :)

Even then, it's still slower than air polys + regular non-nodal material.

yeah, and far less control also...or atleast, much more difficult to control.
