I heard you canot use FPrime with Kray, is that true?

uhhhmmm................whaddaya mean?

they're both rendering engines. do you mean have both running simultaneously? iirr, you can't do that with lw and fprime.

What they probably mean is ...

FPrime simulates the LW render engine, Kray doesn't, although I suspect it will look, sort of similar, but not exact. So you can use FPrime with Kray, but the FPrime render preview won't necessarily match the Kray render exactly.

So, FPrime is a realtime view of what the final render will look like as you're moving and adjusting lighting and other things, and Kray is a final render, am I correct?

In order to get 100% exact results you need to use the 100% exact maths formulae.

What does that mean, my Greek friend?

But Neverko, which is the better FINAL renderer! The one that gives the best results. All the stuuf I've seen from Kray users is so beautiful, and I'm on the fence because I want to get the right thing.

Kray is great for basically surfaced GI arch viz type renders, but it doesn't integrate very well with LW, so you cut out a lot of more advanced rendering features.
It's main benefit is GI speed.

What does that mean, my Greek friend?

Kray is much different than LW rendering engine.

FPrime is a much closer clone.
I can list differences between FPrime and LW, though they are not important.

(I am speaking about results, not way of operation)

Oddity, so what would you suggest, in terms of the final result? I do interior and exterior images. But I'm very interested in Krays interior results.

If you do a lot of arch viz global illumination renders, then kray is a good idea. It's certainly the fastest GI renderer for LW. It hasn't got a lot of use apart from that though.

OK, great, thanks. I think you use Kray, right Oddity? Do you also use FPrime?

I don't use kray, I don't do that type of rendering, so it's useless for me.
Fprime is just a better version of the LW renderer and viper combined, it supports almost all LW features now apart from post process effects.

Well, your interior renders are impressive!
