Are you turning on ISS and High quality?

Where are those features located?

And please add a little more detail - where are you seeing the issue. Only on scrolls, perhaps?

If you are using the PNGs from the CG, turn Overlay on.

When I load the tim Jenison on is toy template the border is jagget even with iss and High quality. Would it get better if I were outputing with s-video or componite? Will a better output monitor not show the problem as bad ? Because I am not using a pro monitor.

Give it a little BLUR like x=1.0 y=1.0 in the Controltree. Roland

If you are using the PNGs from the CG, turn Overlay on.

I've made the mistake inadvertently when placing CG-outputted PNG's over black, forgetting to hit the "Y" key. Makes a huge diff.

Yep. Y or clicking the transparency checkbox makes a big, big difference. The transparency is necessary for the anti-aliasing to work.

Question:

Shouldn't the SRC Aspect Ratio and Dst Aspect Ratio settings default to .9 rather than 1.0?

I'm wondering if this isn't part of the problem that people have with cruddy text with PNG files from CG Designer.

If I place CG Designer outputted PNG's in the timeline, I have to manually dial the SRC Aspect ratio to .9 to get the edges smooth, in addition to changing the quality settings to high.

Perhaps in VT[5] these can be user-selected prefs.....
