View Full Version : fprime 2.0 glass

I am using fprime 2.0 to render in lightwave.
It is a great tool but................i have a problem when i render transparant surfaces. Especially in interiors.
When i set the intensity above 100 the surfaces around the transparant surface seems to glow and have a huge light intensity. Maybe i should change the proprties of the transparant material, like glass??
Or maybe when i use fprime 3 its all solved!!!
Please help me because now its impssible to use glass (in fprime)

What, are you saying you're using a transparency higher than 100 %?

No, the intensity of fprime is set above 100 (not %)

Oh, right, the radiosity intensity. Turn off diffuse for your glass.

i turned off diffuse for glass but still the ceiling of the interior is glowing!!!!! It is a little bit better but still not enough

You don't have luminosity on do you?

no, i don't have luminosity on.

Specularity 22%
Reflection 15%
Transparancy 85%

try a surface that equates:

Diffuse + Transparency + Specular/Refelction <100 surface units

How about a picture to show your problem ?
