Hi,
I just published an interview (http://blog.novedge.com/2007/06/an_interview_wi.html) with Dan Ablan for the Novedge blog. Dan is the author of several books and training DVDs about LightWave, a well know LW expert, and one of the best LW trainers.
I don't think I need to spend more time introducing Dan to the LightWave community...

If you are interested the complete interview is available here (http://blog.novedge.com/2007/06/an_interview_wi.html), on the Novedge blog.

:stumped: About the part where Dan emphasizes the importance of video board/RAM vs CPU. Isn't it actually the other way around, especially regarding Lightwave? Above 2mb ram and beyond say 250mb v.board, isn't it really the cpu that gets you the most bang/buck?

Cool. I'm surprised there hasn't been more interviews with Dan before now. Maybe there has been and I've missed them.

Probably just another plot by Autodesk. They're paying CG sites not to interview him, since he's a LW'er. IF he started writing 'inside maya 8.5' you'd be sick of reading his interviews after the 14th one.:D

Yeah, that reads rather oddly. It's almost like they took it out of context or something. "Forget the CPU, get 16GB of RAM"?
