View Full Version : open mesh problems

I'm having problems with some objects that seem to be not closed meshes, but it's very difficult to find the "holes" in the geometry.
It happened with a max export to 3DS, and then when I open them in LW, I have to combine them in one object. Some already had missing polygons on purpose, like half eyeball, and a hole for the eye socket. Then there's a gap of some milimeters between the two objects. The problem is I can't select the eyeballs and give them a new surface for easy selection in LW, as they have max UV textures (in fact I didn't create the objects, a designer did it and I'm supposed to animate it) I need it closed to later export to Shockwave.
So my question is, is there some way to detect open geometry in LW, to make my job easier?
