Hello,
anyone knows where I could find some freeware human body parts.
I am especially looking for a liver and a half head ( skull ) with the insides ( brain and so forth ).
Any ideas ?
Thank you.

3d cafe used to have some anatomy stuff in their free section- might be worth a look.

Nothing high quality though, you'll have to pay for that.

Also check out Turbo Squid - free ones aren't great like oDDity said, but some are really cheap (I bought a good looking stomach for $15 recently).

If you don't mind paying $$, take a look at 3D Science (http://www.3dscience.com/index.php) as well - has some cool looking stuff.

I'm so glad I read that in context- pity the poor sod who stumbles across that quote on google.:D

While it's not exactly what you are looking for, either in terms of object or price, if you are doing much of this stuff there's some rather good Poser stuff from Daz3d on the anatomical front.

I'm thinking particularly of the V3 and M3 skeletons, and also the muscle map textures. Not good enough for heavy duty accuracy, but rather good value.

Actually, it would not be too difficult to cut the skull in half and find an image to map onto the cut half...

See this thread for a sample with muscle maps.

And this for the fresh skull (there's also an old version)

Starbase1, what method did you use to get the Poser object into LW? Did you get the textures as well?

I use Deep Exploration for this, but end up having to always clean up a bit (mainly the eyes).

Hey! Nice tutorial.
And that is indeed reminiscent of the "Silver Surfer". :D
