Hello!
Here is the port from MR to LW of the jomaga' RAL Classic material pack, the Maxwell Render users should know him.
Hope that it will be usefull for the lightwavers community as for me.
There are two versions of the presets for LightWave, one with the MR shader applied and one without:

Thanks a bunch mikadit! Very useful, now what about Pantone, NCS and the RAL Design series? ;)

I'm most interest in the RAL Design and the NCS. Actually not such much in the Pantone.
I made those presets for my personal use and then decided to share them. If I will complete any ather useful chart, or part of it, and if will be appreciate, I'll be glad to share them too. :)

Thanks mikadit!!

Pantone would be cool too. I had "Colorist" running on my system for awhile, but wasn't happy with it's interface.

Pleased to be useful hazmat777,

such softwares are useful if they have implemented a tool like a color matcher with other colors charts. Colorist, I never used it, seams to not have such tool, so, if this is the case, I aggree with you. Expect that it could be useful within Photoshop or Fireworks if used with others plugged charts.
On the other hand there are useful tools on the web for good color collections comparison, such the one at the EasyRGB web site, as the EasyRGB software itself.
Off course Pantone would be cool ... but wouldn't be a crazy work too? Actually, not knowing the future and becouse of not using it, I don't know if I could be so crazy. :D

Thanks Mikadit,

Looking for RAL 5008 and there it is, I found converting web swatches into a LW chip doesn't work best.
A great help, thanks again.

Kind Regards,
Nigel

thanks a lot, quite useful. many LW users forget that the jovian color picker has RAL colors as well. this picker is integrated into LW since 11.6 and contains also Pantone etc. which is quite useful for us archviz people ;-)

EDIT: in case someone is searching for it, here (http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?95677-Jovian-Color-Picker&p=840671&viewfull=1#post840671) you can find that post with the original color libraries for jovian. they seem not to be installed in LW 11.6.x

Hello 3Dworks,

Thanks for that, I also spotted that I can sample from an image that has been loaded, great.

I have always been disappointed with Newtek and the LW Presets that come with Lightwave.
Especially after all these years the LW presets has not been changed or updated and must be over 15 years old now.
Please Newtek lets have a refresh…

Regards,
Nigel

FogBug a Feature Request. They are unlikely to stumble upon it here.
