:help:
Hello,
please does anyone have experience in converting single viewport of 3d model to mechanical drawing via .dxf ? I had downloaded recently dxf2 export plugin and everything works for me fine exept:
1. I need to export just one single viewport, e.g. top view
2. neither autocad , nor varicad understands lightwave modeler generated dxf, had to download Rhinoceros trial than reexport to dxf and my Varicad opens it but no other does , it seems like the file is not correctly converted...

Does please anyone know how to GET SINGLE ONE VIEWPORT .DXF MECHANICAL DRAWING from LIGHTWAVE ?
I am really desperate and running out of time and choices...

Cheers

If you are using Windows, download AccuTrans 3D from
http://www.micromouse.ca/

Import your LWO file into AccuTrans.

Use the "File -> Save With Options" menu command to open a dialog box.

In the combo box select "DXF".

If you want to export "Lines" and "Point Clouds" check the appropriate check boxes.

Click the "Save" button and save to a DXF file.
