View Full Version : Remove edges?

Hello everyone!
I'd like to know if in lightwave there is a way to delete edges without deleting polygons.
The doc talks about a delete edges tool but it seems it's not in LW for mac.
I've changed the menu layout to different configurations, and searched in the edit menus panel, but nothing...
If someone can give me a clue... Thanks in advance!

Try Construct/Reduce/Dissolve, that seems to do it.

Thanks a lot!
But I wonder if this is normal or not? In the doc there are a few tools to manage edges. Is it coming from me or is it totally normal?
I've re-installed LW 9.0, and I still cant have these tools.

I don't have those tools on the PC version either so maybe they were removed? The only tool I have under edges is Add Edges.

Ok, certainly something they finally didn't implement but was kept in the doc...
Anyway, thanks again for your great help!

EDGE PACK ( a free suite of modeler plugins) works on 9x http://www.symmetrix.com.au/index.php?page=plugins.php it has a Dissolve Loop Tool.
Dissolve is definitely in the Reduce section of the Construct tab in 9.2 as is Merge Poly (SHIFT+Z) which does the same thing by other means in the Polygon section of the Detail Tab, and if you are running 9 why aren't you running 9.2 it's a free upgrade.
