Hello,

This is a little off the topic of LW but I hope someone can help. But, seeing how I used lightwave for my graphics it is somewhat related.

I am trying to find a good server to do my web hosting. I already have my website online but will be switching to a different server in the very near future. Cost and features are my two main requirements. My website runs only about 12-15 pages deep and I will be using a few graphics, video, and auido.

Who do you recomend? Any I should stay away from?

Thanks,
Shane

I've been using http://www.hostned.com/ for about a year and a half and haven't had any problems with them. They offer a package that gives you unlimited space and bandwidth for a very reasonable price.

These guys are really good

Dreamhost (http://www.dreamhost.com/rewards.cgi?suture)

Hosting starts at about US$9.95 I think.

But even that is a feature pack plan.
You get a jabber chat server, 24 hr tech support, web based control panel, 150MB disk storage, 20 GB monthly Bandwidth, 20 POP 3 email accounts, 5 Shell FTP accounts, Web based Email Access @ https//webmail.yourdomain.com your own discussions lists, mailing lists and database, 1 Free Domain name Registration, 5 Subdomains Hosted, 1 Domain hosted, unlimited domain forwarding, MySQL database, PHP4, Full Unix Shell, Full CGI, SSI, SSL Secure Server, Daily Access Stats, Banner Free Guestbook, Password protect Directories (.htaccess), RealAudio and Video (http stream). Plus these guys are continually coming up with new features and enhancements.

There's a lot more stuff in the web admin panel, but take a look. Tell em 'suture' sent you :-)

yer yer they also have a rewards program as well, which means that custommers get paid for referals, which can actually start to generate income.
Anyway take a look.

i agree with riki, we also have used dreamhost for a couple of years. their pricing is great, and their service is unbeatable. They are constantly upgrading their packages and this benifits current customers as well as future ones. Definitly have a look at them.
