View Full Version : Reflection is not accurate ?

I noticed that in LW 9 when a surface is reflective, in my case the glass of a window, the reflected object (the ground with bump maped grass), looks too sharp or with noise. It does not look like the object seen directly.

Im not sure but i think, if i remember well, in the times of LW 5 there was the same problem and in LW 6 it was fixed.

Why is this happening?

mip maping is the problem and it was fixed in 9.2.

Well, i installed 9.2 and the problem remains.

It doesn't look good. At leas for me.

Is there a solution for this? Is it going to be fixed?

If you are loading a older scene into LW 9.2. LW is probable maintaing your mip map settings. For compatability reasons. Try your object with completly new surfaces just to test the problem. If that helps then next check the compatablity setting on the surface and check the docs for 9.2 in regards the mipmpa changes.

could always add a tiny bit of reflection blurring. If you don't mind a small render time hit.
