Hi everyone,

I need to convert a LW curve to a line of 1 sided polygons. Does anyone know how can i do this?

first draw a 1-point poly on a new layer. Activate the curve as background layer

to create 1-point polys along the curve: Multiply->Rail Clone

to create 2-point poly chain (that's what I suppose you are looking for) use Multiply->Rail Extrude.

thanks for your reply. It helped a lot.

At first it did some wierd stuff, but then i turned off "oriented" and it worked fine.

Thanks again.

Maybe I'm not understanding the question, but you can make the points, use Ctrl-p to turn them into a curve, extrude the curve (if you make the curve in the Back View, Extrude it in the Right view), then go to Point mode and delete all the points on one side of the extrude "sheet". You get left with a poly chain of 2-point polys.

I use some old plugins which can convert curves into polys or 2-pt polygons with one click. Dunno if they are still "around" but they are 'poly2crv.p' and 'poly2lp.p' - They are 5.6 plugins but still work in 9.2
