I'm trying baking diffuse shading with LW 9.2, using PSD export filter to separate diffuse shading only from texture. No direct lighting.

I am getting spots of the backdrop rendering on edges of some polygons. Are there any known issues with the Surface Baking camera, and if so, what are the workarounds.

I have no 2 point polygons, and all points have been merged and polygons unified.

Trying to use the border UV setting. Tried 1.0, 3.0 and 0.3 but I don't really understand how this setting relates to the render. Is it a metric value or is it a pixel value?

(How does FPprime 3.0 baking work, is it without the spottiness or is it flawless like Kray?)

The border UV setting is in pixels. If you're getting black pixels, try increasing the Offset from surface value to 1cm or something appropriate to the size of your scene, it could be the camera penetrating your geometry.
