I thought you had more to say. But what else is there to say?
Well said!

Oh, man, and I was all prepared for an eloquent pep talk!

But I agree, NewTek beats any other software company down the drain! They're actually nice.

They even refused Adobe's $450 million offer to buy them. ;)

Did Adobe really try to purchase Newtek?

Matt

Yeah, is that true? I never heard of that.

I don't know if it's true that Adobe wanted to buy them, it's just been a half-humorous rumor.

But I guess you could interpret NewTek's statement in their last newsletter two ways.

''and no, we are not being bought by Adobe :-)''

what ARE the Newtek rules?

what ARE the Newtek rules?
They seem to be:

Rule 1: We rule.
Rule 2: You rule.

But I'm not sure about the second :)

what ARE the Newtek rules?

I prefer guide lines... so this is a moot question that cannot be answered by guides-biased creaticons, such as myself.

Edited for artful, yet awful, grammer... Blasted language thingy ought to be banned.

Newtek does rule. But not supremely. Once I am able to have direct vertex control in Layout and super fast bone deformations then they will rule supreme.

what ARE the Newtek rules?

Yeah, that's how I read it, too :D

I feel like I failed my fanboy test now...

As much as I hate to admit this point is that ALL businesses have a price. Recent acquisitions, merging companies who knows !
I hope not. Customer service in time WILL suffer. New pricing structure may creep into equation that would make it harder for hobbyist, et.al. to afford Lightwave or updates.

Newtek has been around for 20 years. That's a long time for a software company. I don't think they'll sell out easily.

There's no crime in being a fanboy. If it wasn't for Newtek's competitive pricing down the years you'd still have to remortgage your home to run 3D software on your PC.

New(Tek) rule: if you have fantasies about NewTek being bought by a competitor, then there is a nice man in a white coat who would like to take you away to a quiet place.
