hey, i know this is a really easy question but i want to make a spiral going down (just like a spring), i have tried using spline draw and making it wider but does not work, can anyone link me to a tutorial, or show me how :)

You can make a spring with the lathe tool. Lathe a flat disc with an offset and select the appropriate axis. You can set the end angle to 360 X # of turns. You need to set the number of sides you like. Hope that helps.

Create a point, then clone it (or maybe array, cant recall) with an offsets such that it will rotate around the centre and move downwards. Then select the points and make an open ended curve. Finally create a disc in another layer and rail extrude it along the curve you created.
