Way back in LW7.5 the C4 plugin was available to "blow up" objects. Regretfully, as of 8.x it did no longer work :(

Does anybody know of another plugin that is as capable as C4 was ? I had tried to contact the original developers, but to no avail :(

Cheers,
Andreas

Actually, it works fine in 8.x. Dan Ablan included it in Inside Lightwave 8. It's 9 that doesn't run it...

can't you run it in 8 and bring the geometry in 9 after the cracks are in place... then use 9 dynamics on it ?

just a thought but haven't tried it myself yet.

Yes, that works.

Since we got HardFX we don't really need c4 anymore, it had some really bad collision detection anyway. You can do the same effect with HardFX, but better. :)

It depends if you mean the modeler side of c4 or the animation part of c4. I was refering to the animation part of c4. If you mean by breaking things like glass the modeler side of c4, the answer is no. For the modeler side you can use CrackIt instead.
