Hi there,
I just got this news today and thought some of you might be interested:

There will be a screening of animated shorts by Andreas Hykade and Mariusz Wilczynski at the MoMa in NYC on the 7th of May:
http://www.moma.org/calendar/films.php?id=4571&ref=calendar

The screening includes Ring of Fire, an animated short that I had the honour to work on from 1998-2000 (using LightWave 5.6 at the time).
More information about the short (wow, this goes way back ;) ):
http://www.gambit-film.de/rof/menu/menu.htm (don't forget to check out the super cute making-of)
and
http://www.flay.com/getarticle.cfm?articleid=2 features a small description of how LightWave was used.

Cheers,
Mike
P.S. I wouldn't bring it up... but darn, this is the MoMa :D

Haha... well, I suppose it is a long way from winning more than 14 awards at animation festival to making it into an art museum ;)

I have to hand it to Andres Hykade though (the director and animator - www.hykade.de ). He is definetly the best animator I ever had the pleasure of working with. Whacked out but amazing.

Cheers,
Mike
